There is no doubt that the
micro transplantation system at Mills & Mills is truly remarkable.
However, this system cannot prevent anymore of your existing
hair from falling out. Many patients want a two phase attack
of their hair loss. They want to replace the hair that
is lost, but they also want to stop or slow down the loss
of any more.
To this end, there are now some very effective
treatments that are clinically proven to do just this.
Finasteride is a proven treatment that has been
used in the prevention of hair loss for some years. It
acts as an antialopecic in androgenetic alopecia and stimulates
hair growth. it is taken in tablet form with one tablet
usually taken once daily. It must be taken on a regular
and continuous basis.
Minoxidil has been around for some years now and
is proven effective and available in a variety of formulations.
Its best use is perhaps in prevention of further hair loss
and thickening up of what you have left. Don't expect a
new head of hair if you are bald now.
It is sometimes used in conjunction with finasteride.
Mesotherapy involves tiny injections of medication
directly into the scalp. Mesotherapy is being used extensively
in ani-aging. It has been used with tremendous effect in
hair loss.
After your hair micro transplant, you may want
to consider ongoing treatment to maintain your existing
hair. This can begin around one month after your transplant.
If you think you are not quite ready for micro
transplantation, our clinical treatments can be an excellent
preventative. It is generally considered wise to start
some form of treatment at the early onset of hair loss.
This is because we can help prevent or slow down the rate
of your hair loss from the start.
