Orthopaedic Surgeon: Dr. Wolfgang Schmitt
Dr Schmitt
is one of the foremost Orthopaedic Surgeons on the Costa
Del Sol with an enviable reputation. His training in this
speciality began as far back as 1989 in the Military hospital
in Munich Germany.
From 1996 to 2001 he held
the post of Senior Registrar in Orthopaedic Surgery in the
military hospital of Berlin. During the five and a half years
he was there, Dr. Schmitt was also involved in teaching junior
doctors and registrars in Orthopaedic medicine and surgery.
He has held a number of teaching posts in various hospitals
in Germany and he lectured in Austria. He is a member of
the German society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is registered
with the College of Malaga as a specialist in Orthopaedic
surgery and traumatology. He also has additional qualifications
in the speciality of sports medicine.
As you would expect
from such a broad experience , Dr Schmitt has carried out
a considerable number of procedures. The following numbers
give you some idea of his experience. These do not include
any procedures undertaken during training.

He has attended
numerous post graduate courses and he has a number of publications
to his name. Dr Schmitt speaks perfect English. He now resides
in Marbella with his wife and five children.
